Die Makers
Extensive knowledge of different metals and alloys give die makers the ability to take advantage of the inherent properties of materials, tools, tolerances and other factors.
Die makers create the molds that stamp or otherwise shape metal parts. Half of their measuring is done in reverse because they’re creating a bottom and top piece that need to come together within specific tolerances.

Die makers require knowledge of:
- Metal flow, fatigue, resistance, brittleness and many other properties of metals and alloys
- Shop math – including multiple decimal places for exacting measurements
- Production techniques, disposal methods, design techniques and much more
- CAD and other design software
- Procedures to maintain safe and healthy environments
QSkilled Staffing die makers also
- Manage materials efficiently to maximize production
- Think creatively to solve problems
- Evaluates likely outcomes
- Assess materials
